Dovecote Opening in New Location

The new premises of the Dovecote Christian Bookshop were officially opened on Thursday 21 June 2007, by Annabel, Lady Titman, widow of Sir John Titman who was a valued Patron and active Director of the Dovecote Coffee House and Bookshop.

The Bookshop, which first opened in South Street, Epsom on 21 June 1996 and three years ago moved to temporary accommodation, is now permanently located at the front of Epsom Methodist Church following the redevelopment of the Church premises, right beside a busy Bus Stop in Ashley Road. The attractive new building, which has a good supply of books & magazines; greeting cards, CD's and videos, as well as gifts of jewellery, glassware and wooden sculptures, provides a welcome place where people can pop in to browse.

To adapt to a fast-changing retailing climate, Dovecote has joined the newly branded 'Crown Books' group of Christian Bookshops. On-line purchasing is available on www.crownbooks.co.uk, where there are over 25,000 items to view and/or purchase on-line.

We hope customers may prefer to search online and purchase direct from Dovecote, not only benefiting Dovecote but also saving postage and packing charges.

The Bookshop is open Monday to Saturday from 10.00am to 5.00pm - Telephone - (01372) 817707

The friendly staff will always be pleased to help and serve you.

History:

Christian Outreach Trust for Epsom began fund-raising in 1993 to open a Christian Coffee House and Bookshop in the town of Epsom, Surrey.  This vision came to fruition on 21 June, 1996 at 22 South Street, Epsom, Surrey.

The Coffee House & Bookshop were open in South Street for 8 years when sadly the decision was made to close the Coffee House and transfer the Bookshop to temporary premises at Epsom Methodist Church.  These premises have now been closed and we are permanently located at the front of Epsom Methodist Church, right beside a busy Bus Stop.
